TSO - G - Day 5 - We're Well on Track
Today has been jam-packed with a ton of great building, but before we get into that we have a quick update from the tail end of Wednesday night.
Last night's crawdad fishing expedition had an impressive yield, and the group decided - with Cruise Director Daniel's blessing - to try cooking their catch. In order to do so, we began with a discussion of the nature of this activity. Making sure to acknowledge that these animals are giving their lives for our benefit, we had the group agree that any reveling in the death of another being would put an end to the activity.
Afterwards, we laid our crustaceans to rest back at the creek.
This morning we slept in a bit, having tired ourselves out thoroughly with all the hard work that happened yesterday. We got up to the site, and everyone jumped right back into their projects.
Piki tries out their new weapon. The idea is that as the opposing cart flies by, the L-shaped arm gets struck, and the other end swings about into their adversary.
We end the day with a s'more casserole made with animal crackers. Yum!
The plan for tomorrow is to finish the track in a morning sprint, and then have our joust in the afternoon. All four groups look to be in great shape to put up a fierce competition!
