County Fair - Day 2 - Week 3 (Mark Day School)

Everyone has a favorite part of the building process. For some it’s design. For others, measuring and cutting, or maybe project coordination, but for most tinkerers the best part is putting in screws. The problem is, to get to the point in a project where screws are used in abundance requires all the other things! Luckily, most tinkerers saw the connection and pitched in where they could to push the projects forward. We still have a long way to go, but as Tatian pointed out in circle, we went from 2D to 3D today and have big physical things to show for it!

Tomorrow we’ll expand on what we did today, testing our roller coaster track and cart system, working on our giant lava-ball hurling game launchers, and who knows? Maybe we’ll learn a few things about ourselves along the way as we try a bit harder than usual this week. That’s one of our goals for the week actually. We have four of them:

  • Collaborate and Make Friends

  • Build Something Bigger Than Ourselves

  • Try Harder Than Usual

  • Make Mistakes and Learn From Them
