Friday - Spring '17 Welding - Week 3

Today we got to learn how to use the Drill Press! The Drill press allows us to drill straight down through tricky materials...like metal!

1st you have to clamp your work down so it doesn't spin around like crazy and whack you or your friend.

Next pick out your drill bit and make sure it is securely in the chuck.

Then you need to put the belts on the correct speed for the drill bit speed and material you are drilling.

Some of us refreshed our welding memories after spring break.

Now that people are working on their projects, we are getting into really tricky setup situations.
